How to make annotations?

Step-by-Step Instructions: #

1. Click into Your Matter

To start, navigate to the relevant matter where you need to make annotations. This could be a specific case or document folder in your system.

2. Create a Disclosure Bundle (Optional)

If you wish to annotate multiple documents at once, create a Disclosure Bundle. A Disclosure Bundle allows you to compile and organise several documents in one place before adding annotations.

To create a Disclosure Bundle:

  1. Select “Actions” and choose “Create Disclosure Bundle” from the menu.
  2. Choose the folders you want to include in the bundle.

3. Select a Document for Annotation

Once your Disclosure bundle is created, click on the document within the bundle that you want to annotate.

4. Use the Annotation Tool

Inside the document, find the A button in the top menu. This button is the annotation tool.

  • Click on the A icon to activate the annotation feature.
  • Highlight the section you wish to annotate by clicking and dragging over the relevant text or content.
  • You can update the date from the calendar or manually add a date to the annotation.

5. View Annotations

To see all your annotations, click on the Annotations button located on the right-hand side of the screen.

  • This will open a panel that lists all your annotations for easy navigation.

Key Tips: #

  • You can make annotations directly on a document or manage them more efficiently by using a Disclosure bundle if dealing with multiple documents.
  • The annotations list helps you keep track of all your annotations in one place, making it easier to revisit and modify them as needed.
