# How to edit a matter name and a party name

## **Editing a matter name**

1. Click the **edit pencil** on the right-hand side of the matter

1. Under **General Settings**, edit the matter name, change the date, or add a comment

1. Click **Save Changes**

## **Editing a party name**

1. From the same Setup tab, click **Parties** from the left-hand panel
2. Click the **Edit Party** next to the party name
3. Edit the party name and click **Update**
